About SUNS

SUNS (Saltillo’s United Nations Simulation) is an event in which students debate about world issues with the purpose of agreeing on a diplomatic solution.

It has been held since 1990 and this year, we are celebrating our 28​th anniversary.

Each year, around 500 students from different parts of the country, join us.

Rules

  • Cellphones will be allowed, but they must be turned off during sessions.

  • Verbal and confrontational disruption is not allowed.

  • There must be no violation of school policy (walk-mans, CD-players, etc.)

  • Language used in committee will be according to each committee.

  • Vandalism is grounds of expulsion.

  • Dress code must be followed, if it isn't the delegate will be asked to change.

  • Plagiarized positions or resolutions will be result of serious consequences. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
